A more developed approach to Quantum Computing is undergoing research at U.S. Commerce Department’s National Institute of Standards and Technology. The researcher by the name of Trey Porto mentioned to Reuters that the super-cold rubidium atoms used for quantum computations were levitated by the six laser beams fixed to one point.
Since the qubit allows simultaneous computations, basically it’s going to be like having many super computers in one quantum computer. Also, a future quantum computer without a container is splendid. At present, the team is trying to make the atoms dance to their tune to be of use as a Quantum computer.
