Long Period of Exposure to Asbestos Equals High Risk of Mesothelioma

Asbestos dusts & fibers are known to cause lung cancer. Asbestos is a natural mineral & it is mentioned that everyone at one point or another is exposed to asbestos waste. However asbestos exposure in such way seldom causes Mesothelioma. People who suffer from mesothelioma are often those who are exposed to asbestos for a long period like workers in an asbestos mine or asbestos sheet factory. Who are more likely to suffer from Mesothelioma? The people who have a high risk of suffering from Mesothelioma are asbestos miners, workers at asbestos products manufacturers, construction workers, & etc. It is because that they are exposed to asbestos in a long period.

Long periods of exposure to asbestos are obviously worse than short, but it's important to remember that it's possible to develop Mesothelioma from asbestos after only being exposed to tiny amounts. For more information check this video provided by the asbestos lawyers at Weitz & Luxenberg.
