Which one would you choose to replace your old dwindling desktop? Acer is offering two new Acer Aspire Gemstone Blue desktop replacements systems with a bunch of entertainment oriented features. The blue colored systems are touted to be available in the market within a month from now. Take a look at the full sized keyboards. There is even a number key pad, just like on a desktop keyboard. Acer puts some goodies under the large keyboard.


They are desktop replacement systems so do not expect them to be light even though they look much slimmer than your existing beige box personal computer. Intel Core 2 Duo (Penryn) processors are used on both models. The Aspire 6920G has a 16-inch display and the Aspire 8920G has a distinctive 18.4-inch display, both widescreen 16:9 displays with a full HD 1080p (1,920-by-1,080) resolution. HD movies can be viewed through the Blu-ray/DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive native on both systems. The uniquely designed CineDash Media Control employs capacitive touch media controls.
