Four Popular Styles to Tie a Tie

1. Pratt/Shelby Knot : Tidy, fairly wide, goes well with any short; best with ties of light to medium fabric.
2. Windsor Knot : Thick, projects confidence thus good for important functions, presentations, interviews and such; best worn with spread collar shirts.
3. Half Windsor Knot : As the name suggests this tie knot is slightly simpler to tie than the Windsor Knot. Good used on wider ties of light to medium fabric, goes well with any shirt.
4. Four-in-Hand Knot : Slightly asymmetrical; a narrow, discrete knot suitable for the button-down collared shirts, wide ties of heavy fabric will achieve the best results.
