You may want to document your disaster recovery plans on paper for easy access apart from on the computer. Who knows, the computer is also involved in the disaster. Your data should be backed-up on a weekly basis. The most important documents & files can be stored on an optical storage disc like a DVD or CD. You can also use microhard drives or flash drives for faster storage. All the above mentioned storage options are the cheapest & easiest to do for making data backups. With data backups, a disastrous hard drive failure will not make much of an impact on your normal day to day business. Deal with the disaster problem, fix the equipment or purchase new stuff while you continue business as usual.
