Preparation for Data Loss Disaster Part II

Having a dedicated team to prevent & fix the problems is a good idea. The disaster recovery team will hold regular meetings & prepare for a disaster with professional accuracy. The team will be ready for anything. It is a good practice for large companies & corporations but how about for the small people? Well, pretty much all the maintenance & preparation will be done by one or two person instead of a large team. Preparation for Data Loss Disaster Part I

The personnel will have to create & test IT systems backups. Also, the backups will have to be placed in a safe place out of harm’s way as part of the data recovery plans. An up to date inventory of all the equipment & material is essential. In the event of a disaster, it will be easy to identify, purchase & record the equipment or material that needs to be replaced. The inventory will include the phone numbers & addresses of the equipment supplier for immediate contact in emergencies. Preparation for Data Loss Disaster Part III

Hi, Shiva.

The heck happened to your memory card le? You may want to try one of the data recovery softwares. Wait..try Search And Recover 4: Digital Photo Recovery. It is claimed to even recover data from reformatted hard drives so you could try for your memory card.

Also, you should lock the important photos/data/files on your memory card. Only reformat after you have transferred the data to elsewhere for safekeeping.

I hope all is well with you. Happy weekend to you, Shiva. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
